2001 Mitsubishi Caribbean Montero recall: windows, wipers & mirrors
⚠️ What's wrong
Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. Some of these vehicles are equipped with outside rearview mirrors on the passenger side which do not comply with the requirements of FMVSS 111, "rearview mirrors."
💥 The risk
This limits the driver's field of vision on that side of the vehicle.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will replace the rearview mirror.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
