2001 Mazda Tribute recall: windows, wipers & mirrors
⚠️ What's wrong
Vehicle description: sport utility vehicles. The windshield wiper linkage CAN disengage due to a broken ball socket.
💥 The risk
This condition will likely result in sudden and complete loss of the windshield wiper function, or of the wiper function on the driver side only, increasing the risk of a crash.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the wiper module.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
