2001 Damon Challenger recall: equipment
⚠️ What's wrong
Vehicle description: motor homes. The furnace is exposed to a storage compartment.
💥 The risk
Items stored in the compartment under the range could come in contact with the furnace, potentially becoming heated and result in a fire.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will install sidewall paneling to the exposed furnace opening. This will separate the furnace from the storage compartment under the range.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
