2000–2001 D'elegant Ford E150 recall: equipment
⚠️ What's wrong
Vehicle description: certain conversion vans fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS 225, "child restraint anchorage systems." the owner guides do not identify the locations of seating positions equipped with tether anchorages, and do not provide instructions for securing child seats to these tether anchorages.
💥 The risk
In the event of a crash, the child seat may not be properly attached increasing the risk of injury to the child.
🔧 The fix
Owners have been provided with an informational insert.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
