2002–2003 Ditch Witch T9S & 2002 Ditch Witch S7B recall: brakes
⚠️ What's wrong
On certain trailers equipped with hydraulic brakes, the breakaway brakes do not work.
💥 The risk
If the trailer detaches from the tow vehicle, there will be no braking capability, increasing the risk of a crash.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will replace the brake actuator. Owner notification began on february 28, 2003. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact charles machine at 1-580-336-4402.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
