2004 Dutchmen T@B recall: wheels

⚠️ What's wrong

On certain travel trailers equipped with optional aluminum alloy wheels, incorrect wheel bolts were installed.

💥 The risk

Loosening of the wheel bolts could occur, causing a wheel separation incident, and resulting in a crash.

🔧 The fix

Dealers will replace the wheel bolts. Also, dealers will inspect the mating surface of the aluminum alloy wheel for damage and replace if necessary. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact dutchmen at 1-219-534-1224.

Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
