2004 Gulf Stream Amerilite & 2004 Gulf Stream Canyon Trail + 7 more recall: electrical system
⚠️ What's wrong
On certain travel trailers and fifth wheels equipped with ez-flo ground fault circuit interrupter (gfci) receptacles, the receptacle may not trip when a ground fault is present.
💥 The risk
This could result in risk of electrical shock and cause a fire hazard.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will inspect and replace the gfci receptacle. Owner notification is expected to begin december 19, 2003. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact gulf stream at 1-800-289-8787.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
