⚠️ What's wrong
On certain 16-TIRE lowbed trailers equipped with cast axle hangers, a crack could develop if the loaded trailers struck obstacles or road hazards with sufficient force.
💥 The risk
The axle hanger could break increasing the risk of a crash.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will weld or replace the axle hanger. Owner notification began on january 28, 2004. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact harley murray at 209-466-0266.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
