2004 Coachmen Mirada recall: suspension

⚠️ What's wrong

On certain motorhomes, the chassis leaf spring rear shackle and/or shackle bolt could come in direct contact with the lp tank when the vehicle is in motion.

πŸ’₯ The risk

This could cause the lp tank to become damaged and potentially leak increasing the risk of a fire.

πŸ”§ The fix

Dealers will move the mounting location of the tank out of the chassis rails, away from the chassis leaf spring rear shackle. Owner notification began on april 12, 2004. Owners should contact coachmen at 1-800-453-6064.

Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
