2005 IC CE recall: equipment
⚠️ What's wrong
On certain school buses built with vandale lock systems, the system does not provide an audio sound to warn the driver that the emergency door is locked while the vehicle is in operation.
💥 The risk
If the emergency door is locked and the bus is involved in a crash or emergency situation, bus occupants may not be able to escape from the bus in a timely manner or even at all. This could possibly result in serious injury to the occupants.
🔧 The fix
Ic will notify its customers and will repair the alarm by adding a wire to the current system free of charge. The recall began on august 23, 2004. Owners should contact ic at 1-800-843-5615.
