2005 Infiniti Q45 recall: child seat
⚠️ What's wrong
Certain passenger vehicles equipped with power rear seats fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 225, "child restraint anchorage systems." the lower anchorage brackets in the rear seats do not meet the location requirement in this standard. This may cause difficulty in attaching some child seats to these brackets.
💥 The risk
If a child seat is not secured, there is an increased risk of injury in a crash.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will replace the lower anchorage brackets with modified ones to ensure that the standard is met. The recall began on october 17, 2005. Owners may contact infiniti at 1-800-662-6200.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
