2004–2006 Mack LE & 2004–2006 Mack MR recall: fuel system
⚠️ What's wrong
On certain diesel powered heavy duty trucks, the bolts attaching the fuel tank mounting brackets to the frame may have insufficient torque and therefore may result in premature failure of the fuel tank mounting.
💥 The risk
If the fuel tank falls, there is the potential for the tank to ignite, resulting in personal injury, vehicle and property damage.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel tank bracket mounting bolts free of charge. The recall began on february 6, 2006. Owners may contact mack trucks at 1-800-528-6586.
