2006 Itasca Sunova & 2006 Winnebago Sightseer recall: equipment
⚠️ What's wrong
On certain motor homes with the optional galley upgrade package, knives stored in the galley knife holder may interfere with the propane gas line to the stove.
💥 The risk
The knives could damage the propane gas line allowing propane gas to escape, which has the potential to ignite, resulting in personal injury or vehicle property damage.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will properly route the propane gas line and install a knife shield. The recall began on november 11, 2005. Owners may contact winnebago at 641-585-6939.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
