2006 Mobile Suites Trailer recall: brakes

⚠️ What's wrong

On certain fifth wheel trailers equipped with dexter axles, the disc brake caliper mounting bolts may strip. Insufficient clamp load between caliper and yoke CAN cause the caliper to disassemble and adversely affect the trailers braking system.

💥 The risk

Loss of braking CAN increase the risk of a crash.

🔧 The fix

Dealers will replace the caliper mounting hardware free of charge. Owners may contact double tree at 574-457-6472 or dexter axle at 800-400-2164.

Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
