2006 Gore Adsg recall: brakes
⚠️ What's wrong
On certain horse trailers equipped with dexter axles, the disc brake caliper mounting bolts may strip. Insufficient clamp load between caliper and yoke CAN cause the caliper to disassemble and adversely affect the trailers braking system.
💥 The risk
Loss of braking CAN increase the risk of a crash.
🔧 The fix
The owners of the trailer have been notified and arrangements have been made to repair the trailer.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
