⚠️ What's wrong
On certain trucks, the VIN label was printed with an improper gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr) and gross axle weight rating (gawr) for both the front and rear axles.
💥 The risk
The manufacturer has not yet provided a consequence for this campaign.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will replace the VIN labels with corrected gvwr and gawr values free of charge. The recall began on july 21, 2006. Owners may contact mitsubishi fuso at 856-467-4500.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
