2004–2006 4-STAR Trailers Horse Trailer recall: equipment

⚠️ What's wrong

On certain Horse trailers, the fasteners securing the haypod to the roof mounting bracket may fail.

💥 The risk

This allows the haypod to separate from the Trailer. This could pose a serious hazard to others.

🔧 The fix

Dealers will install new fasteners securing the haypod to the mounting bracket on the roof of the Trailer free of charge. The recall began on august 16, 2006. Owners may contact 4-STAR at 1-800-848-3095.

Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
