2005–2006 Utilimaster Aeromaster recall: lights
⚠️ What's wrong
On certain walk-in delivery vans equipped wityh draw-tite modulite hd (p/n 18190) trailer light modules, the split tail light circuits are combined.
💥 The risk
The module may overheat and ignite.
🔧 The fix
Utilimaster will remove the trailer light module and wire the tail light harness from the body directly to the trailer plug. The recall began on december 18, 2006. Owners may contact utilimaster at 1-800-582-3454.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
