2007 Freightliner B2 & 2007 Freightliner Business Class M2 + 2 more recall: brakes
⚠️ What's wrong
Certain my 2007 thomas built C2 Saf-T-Liner school buses and freightliner Business Class M2, fccc B2, and S2 bus chassis manufactured between july 3 and november 3, 2006.
💥 The risk
Under certain conditions, the park brake or work brake may fail allowing the vehicle to roll, possibly resulting in personal injury. Also, the stop lamps may intermittently fail to illuminate when the service brake is applied.
🔧 The fix
Freightliner will notify owner and repair the buses free of charge. The recall began on may 24, 2007. Owners CAN contact freightliner's customer assistance center at 800-385-4357.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
