2005 American Lafrance Fire Truck recall: body & structure
⚠️ What's wrong
On certain Fire trucks, the vehicle cab hydraulic lift system used to raise and lower the cab for maintenance CAN fail.
💥 The risk
If the cab is left in a raised position, it may not maintain its tilted upright position. Also if the equipment shifts inside the cab while the cab is in the raised position, it could cause an impact load on the tilt cylinders causing the cab to come crashing down, increasing the risk of injury.

American lafrance has not yet provided a remedy or owner notification for this campaign. Owners may call american lafrance at 1-843-486-7400.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
