2008 Mack LEU recall: speed control
⚠️ What's wrong
On certain trucks, an incorrect switch may have been used.
💥 The risk
This could possibly result in the cruise control not deactivating when the brake pedal is pressed, which may result in a vehicle crash.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will inspect the switch and replace it if necessary. The recall began on january 2, 2008. Owners may contact mack on 1-800-528-6586.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
