2008–2009 Country Coach Allure & 2008 Country Coach Inspire + 1 more recall: engine
⚠️ What's wrong
Country coach is recalling certain motor homes equipped with caterpillar C9 diesel engines. The fuel pump outlet check plug may be cracked which could cause fuel to spray and leak.
💥 The risk
Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire.
🔧 The fix
Country coach is working with caterpillar (please see 08E042). Caterpillar will replace the fuel pump plug free of charge. The recall is expected to begin during july 2008. Owners may contact caterpillar at 1-800-447-4986 or country coach at 1-800-452-8015.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
