2008–2009 Prevost H3-41 & 2008–2009 Prevost H3-45 + 3 more recall: body & structure
⚠️ What's wrong
Prevost is recalling 189 my 2008-2009 XLII-45, XLII-45E, X3-45 motor homes and H3-41, H3-45, and VIP motor coaches. Due to improper installation of the escape hatch retaining bolts, these bolts CAN break.
💥 The risk
If the bolts break, the escape hatch CAN fall down on to the roadway, increasing the risk of property damage or a crash.
🔧 The fix
Prevost will provide parts and installation instructions to the owners of the affected vehicles. The recall began on october 21, 2008. Owners may contact prevost at 1-418-883-3391.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
