2009 Monaco Coach Camelot recall: lights
⚠️ What's wrong
Monaco is recalling certain motor homes for failing to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment." the middle side marker lights are non-reflective.
💥 The risk
The purpose of this standard is to reduce traffic accidents and deaths and injuries resulting from traffic accidents, by providing adequate illumination of the roadway, and by enhancing the conspicuity of motor vehicles on the public roads so that their presence is perceived and their signals understood, both in daylight and in darkness or other conditions of reduced visibility.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will install a reflector at midpoint on the sides of the coach. The recall is expected to begin during november 2008. Owners may contact monaco at 1-800-685-6545.
