2009 Wilson Grain Trailer recall: suspension
⚠️ What's wrong
Wilson trailers is recalling 211 my 2009 Grain trailers. The pivot bolts were loosened at installation and were not properly re-torqued.
💥 The risk
This could result in premature wear bushing or hanger wear or loss of axle attachment, increasing the risk of a crash.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will check the pivot bolts on the suspension hangers for torque and tighten to 475 ft lbs, if necessary. The recall began on november 20, 2008. Owners may contact wilson trailers at 1-800-798-2002.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
