2007 Dodge Sprinter 3500 & 2007 Freightliner Sprinter 3500 recall: brakes
⚠️ What's wrong
Sprinter will recall 6 my 2007 dodge 3500 and freightliner 3500 vehicles. The threaded bush of the brake adjustment of the parking brake may break. The threaded bush together with the adjustment screw may detach from its bracket.
💥 The risk
If this occurred, the parking brake function may be lost. This could allow the vehicle to move inadvertently and cause a crash without warning.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will replace the parking brake adjustment. The recall is expected to begin on or about march 27, 2009. Owners may contact Sprinter at 1-843-695-5000.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
