2009 Ducati 1098R & 2009 Ducati 1198S + 1 more recall: body & structure
⚠️ What's wrong
Ducati is recalling 732 model year 2009 1198 s, 1098 r, and F1098 s streetfighter motorcycles. The right fork may have possible cracking a deformation at the right-hand side fork bottom wheel axle pinch bolt area.
💥 The risk
Cracking of the fork may lead to a loss of steering control, possibly resulting in a crash.
🔧 The fix
Ducati will notify owners and repair the affected motorcycles free of charge. The safety recall began on june 16, 2009. Owners may contact ducati toll-free at 1-800-231-6696.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
