2008–2009 Coachmen Spirit OF Mobility recall: equipment
⚠️ What's wrong
Coachmen industries is recalling model year 2008-2009 transit buses equipped with trans/air air conditioning systems. Each trans/air system comes with an electrical kit and ec pc board which if improperly installed could overheat.
💥 The risk
An electrical failure in the air conditioners relay board, CAN cause overheating and pose a serious fire hazard.
🔧 The fix
Coachmen industries will notify the owner and the bus will be repaired free OF charge. The repair will be performed by trans/air. Please also see trans/air defect report 09E-042. The safety recall began on november 5, 2009. Owners may contact trans/air warrant and service department at 1-800-673-2448.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
