2004–2005 Turtle Top Odyssey & 2004–2005 Turtle Top Odyssey XL + 1 more recall: interior lighting
⚠️ What's wrong
Turtle top is recalling certain model year 2004 through 2005 Transit buses equipped with luminator horizon LED side destination signs. The connector board CAN corrode due to an accumulation of moisture under the connector.
💥 The risk
A short could occur, possibly causing smoke and a fire.
🔧 The fix
Turtle top will notify owners and the buses will be repaired by luminator free of charge. Please see luminator's defect report 09E-054. The safety recall began on november 2, 2009. Owners may contact luminator at 1-972-516-3033.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
