2010 Volvo XC60 recall: seats

⚠️ What's wrong

Volvo is recalling model year 2010 XC60 vehicles. The driver's seat side cover panel (seat control panel) in certain driver's side impacts may release the attachment of the seatbelt to the seat frame.

💥 The risk

Should this condition occur in a crash the seatbelt may fail to properly restrain the occupant increasing the risk of injury.

🔧 The fix

Dealers will modify the inside of the driver's seat side cover panel free of charge. The recall began on december 22, 2009. Owners may contact volvo at 1-800-458-1552.

Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
