2004–2009 Nova Bus Nova LFS recall: interior lighting
⚠️ What's wrong
Nova bus is recalling certain model year 2004 through 2009 LFS transit buses equipped with luminator horizon LED side destination signs. The connector board CAN corrode due to an accumulation of moisture under the connector.
💥 The risk
A short could occur, possibly causing smoke and fire.
🔧 The fix
Nova bus will notify owners and luminator will repair the buses free of charge. Please see luminator's defect report 09E-054. The safety recall began on february 26, 2010. Owners may contact luminator at 1-972-516-3033 or Nova bus at 1-450-472-6410.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
