2008–2009 Labrie Automizer & 2008–2009 Labrie Expert T + 1 more recall: seat belt
⚠️ What's wrong
Labrie is recalling certain model year 2008 and 2009 Expert T, Automizer, and Automizer 2010 garbage and recycling trucks. The female portion of the seat belt CAN be damaged by the arm rest which is also a joystick bracket.
💥 The risk
If the female portion of the seat belt is damaged, the seat belt may not function properly in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury to the seat occupant.
🔧 The fix
Labrie will notify owners and dealers will replace any damaged seat belt and install a deflector to prevent possible damages free of charge. The safety recall began on june 18, 2010. Owners may contact labrie at 1-877-4LABRIE (1-877-452-2743).
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
