2006–2011 Jag Mobile Solutions Porta-Lisa & 2007–2011 Jag Mobile Solutions Porta-Lisa Plus recall: trailer hitch
⚠️ What's wrong
Jag mobile solutions is recalling certain model year 2006 through 2011 Porta-Lisa and Porta-Lisa Plus mobile restrooms, showers, and combinations towable trailers. The hitch assembly of the chassis may be built with steel tubes that are not of adequate size to withstand the forces exerted on the hitch while in certain applications.
💥 The risk
The hitch on the front of the trailer could crack and become nonfunctional or break completely separating the trailer tongue from the rest of the chassis, which could result in a crash.
🔧 The fix
Jag will notify owners and dexter chassis group field representatives or their assigned agents will repair the trailers free of charge. The safety recall began in august 2010. Owners may contact jag at 1-260-562-1045.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
