2011 Itasca Sunstar & 2011 Winnebago Vista recall: equipment

⚠️ What's wrong

Winnebago Industries is recalling certain model year 2011 Vista and Itasca Sunstar motorhomes manufactured June 30, 2010, through June 16, 2011. The vehicles have an incorrect tire inflation pressures and wheel rim sizes on the Vehicle Certification Label. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 567, "Certification."

💥 The risk

Incorrect tire pressures or tire size may lead to a tire failure, which could result in a loss of vehicle control increasing the risk of a crash.

🔧 The fix

Winnebago will notify owners and mail corrected Vehicle Certification Labels to the owners, free of charge. The recall began on September 9, 2013. Owners may contact Winnebago at 1-800-537-1885 or [email protected]. Winnebago's campaign number is 129.

Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
