2014 Tiffin Breeze recall: steering
⚠️ What's wrong
Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain model year 2014 Breeze motorhomes. The affected vehicles may be equipped with a steering knuckle that may fracture.
💥 The risk
If the steering knuckle fails while the motorhome is being driven, a loss of vehicle control may result, increasing the risk of a crash.
🔧 The fix
Tiffin will notify owners, and dealer representatives will come to where the motorhome is parked, looking for any steering knuckle in the affected production lot. If the the motorhome has one the the subject steering knuckles, the vehicle will be towed to the dealer and the knuckle will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began March 12, 2015. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
