2018 Karma Revero recall: body & structure
⚠️ What's wrong
Karma Automotive (Karma) is recalling certain 2018 Karma Revero vehicles. The upper intrusion bar within the front left door may be split. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 214, "Side Impact Protection."
💥 The risk
The split metal may compromise the vehicle's strength reducing the side-impact protection and increasing the risk of injury.
🔧 The fix
Karma will notify owners, and dealers will inspect all of the front doors and replace them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began July 1, 2019. Owners may contact Karma customer service at 1-855-288-6109. Karma's number for this recall is RC-19-70-01.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
