2022 Excellance Freightliner M2 recall: electrical system
⚠️ What's wrong
Excellance, Inc (Excellance) is recalling certain 2022 Freightliner M2 emergency vehicles. An additional resistor was incorrectly installed on the printed circuit board, which can disrupt CAN network communication and cause vehicle lighting to fail.
💥 The risk
Inoperative vehicle lighting can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will replace the modules, free of charge. Owners may contact Excellance's customer service at 1-800-882-9799.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
