2020–2024 Terex XT PRO recall: equipment
⚠️ What's wrong
Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2020-2024 XT Pro vehicles equipped with replacement basket brackets. The replacement basket brackets may not be compatible with the original basket retaining pins and cause the basket to unintentionally tilt.
💥 The risk
Tilting of the basket may cause the basket occupants to fall, increasing the risk of an injury.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will replace the retaining pins, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 10, 2024. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN729.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
