2024 Storyteller Overland GXV Next recall: equipment
⚠️ What's wrong
Storyteller Overland, LLC (Storyteller Overland) is recalling certain 2024 GXV Next vehicles. The Cargo Carrying Capacity listed on the certification label is incorrect, which can allow the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other than Passenger Cars."

An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash.
🔧 The fix
Storyteller Overland will mail corrected labels to owners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 29, 2024. Owners may contact Storyteller Overland customer service at 1-888-999-7442.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
