2024–2025 Heartland Torque recall: equipment
⚠️ What's wrong
Heartland Recreational Vehicles (Heartland) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Torque travel trailers, equipped with optional Onan 5.5 generators. These generators may not be properly vented and allow the generator to overheat or prevent exhaust gas from escaping properly.
💥 The risk
A generator that overheats increases the risk of fire. In addition, trapped exhaust gases inside the trailer can increase the risk of injury.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will correctly route the generator venting, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 18, 2024. Owners may contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
