2025–2026 Forest River Bus Collins School BUS & 2025 Forest River Bus Magellan School BUS + 1 more recall: seats
⚠️ What's wrong
Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Collins MFSAB, Collins CL9, 2025 Magellan and 2026 Mid Bus school buses. The incorrect child seat latch bar was installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems."
💥 The risk
The incorrect latch bar may make it difficult or impossible to correctly install a child seat, increasing the risk of injury.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will replace the latch bar, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at (620) 888-3310. Forest River's number for this recall is 551-1851.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
