2020–2025 Vermeer Lpsdt & 2020–2025 Vermeer Lpsgt + 1 more recall: body & structure
⚠️ What's wrong
Vermeer Manufacturing Company (Vermeer) is recalling certain 2020-2025 LPSDT, LPSGT, and LPXDT vacuum excavator trailers. The trailer frame may crack or break, reducing the trailer's stability while being towed.
💥 The risk
Trailer instability can cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will install reinforcement plates on the trailer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 24, 2025. Owners may contact Vermeer customer service at 1-800-829-0051 ext. 7060. Vermeer's number for this recall is VMV0103.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
