2023–2024 Winnebago Commercial Vehicle recall: body & structure
⚠️ What's wrong
Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Commercial Vehicles, equipped with a removable step assembly. The clip-on bracket mounting bolts may come loose, allowing the steps to detach.
💥 The risk
Steps that detach while in use increase the risk of injury.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will inspect and repair or replace the clip-on bracket as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 20, 2025. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 196.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
