2026 Mack MD recall: seat belt
⚠️ What's wrong
Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2026 Mack MD vehicles. The center bench seat belt assembly may be routed incorrectly.
💥 The risk
An incorrectly routed seat belt assembly may not restrain an occupant as intended, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 3, 2025. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0478.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
