2025–2026 Micro Bird G5E School BUS recall: electrical system
⚠️ What's wrong
Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2025-2026 G5e school buses. A wiring harness may have been incorrectly routed. A metal bracket may contact and damage the harness, causing a loss of drive power.
💥 The risk
A loss of driver power increases the risk of a crash.
🔧 The fix
Micro Bird will inspect, replace, and properly secure the wiring harness as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 10, 2026. Owners can contact Micro Bird's Customer Service at 819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 26-122-HUS.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
