2000 Jayco Eagle & 2000 Jayco Heritage recall: equipment
⚠️ What's wrong
Vehicle description: fold down trailers which use gas/electric absorption refrigerators supplied by norcold. The swivel nut which is an integral connection component of a pressure tap device has "stress corrosion cracking."
💥 The risk
This cracking CAN lead to an open fracture in the brass nut, potentially allowing propane gas to leak.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will remove the swivel nut/pressure tap component and replace with a remedy kit.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
