2000 Blue Bird ALL American recall: electrical system
⚠️ What's wrong
Vehicle description: school and transit buses equipped with cummins isc engines. The wiring harness to the combustion air intake grid heater CAN chafe against the engine and wear through.
💥 The risk
This condition CAN cause an electrical short in the grid heater power supply.
🔧 The fix
Owners will be advised to re-route the original grid heater power supply harness. In addition, a clamp will be added to support the harness away from the engine components.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)

Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact blue bird at 1-912-825-2021.
