2022–2023 Blue Bird Vision Transit BUS recall: fuel system
⚠️ What's wrong
Blue Bird Body Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Vision transit buses. The fuel supply line was incorrectly routed, allowing it to chafe against a bolt head, which can damage the line and create a fuel leak.
💥 The risk
A fuel leak increases the risk of a fire.
🔧 The fix
Dealers will reroute the fuel line, and replace the fuel line if any damage is found, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on June 21, 2022. Owners may contact Blue Bird's customer service at 1-478-822-2242. Blue Bird's number for this recall is R22BU-NSB.
Is the fix free? Yes. Safety recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer under federal law, including parts and labor. (Vehicles more than 15 years old when the recall was announced can be excluded, but most manufacturers still fix them.)
